Throwback Thursday: Green Velvet “La La Land”

Originally looking into a career in engineering, Curtis Jones made the huge decision to drop out of school and pursue house music, and boy was it a great decision for the man now called Green Velvet (or Cajmere). As part of house music’s 1990’s renaissance movement, Green Velvet used his quirky style and simple, yet eccentric, vocals to carve himself a place in the house music scene for years to come. La La Land is a great example of what his style is and it is amazing to see how something simple has become the foundation for the massive projects we hear in today’s era.
