The hard-hitting track called “Animals” currently making its way around the ‘net is indeed by Dutchman Martin Garrix, and will come out shortly on Spinnin. But you can hear the whole thing below:
“Of course I had a hard time not telling people that I made it,” Garrix tells CODE of the secret rollout. “But it was funny to see people speculating the last couple of weeks. To be honest, I never expected so much buzz around this track.”
Garrix has been a busy production buddy lately, releasing co-created tracks on big labels. Check “Torrent” with Sidney Samson on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom, and “BFAM” with Julian Jordan, also on Spinnin. A solo affair, the very hungry “Animals” hints that the globular start-stop-smack of “BFAM” in particular might be the burgeoning producer’s specialty.
“After a lot of collaborations over the last few months, it was time to come up with a new solo track,” says Garrix. “We decided to just put up the teaser with the title to see what would happen.”
