The British House Music trio of Ben and Paul Harris with Steve Smith on vocals, or best known as Dirty Vegas, was one of the first house groups to really introduce dance music to the American mainstream in the early 2000’s. If you don’t remember their famous track titled “Days Go By” then here’s a bit of a reminder.
Remember this 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse commercial:
This commercial gave this track so much popularity in the USA that it helped Dirty Vegas win a grammy for Best Dance Recording of the Year in 2003 joining such great groups of people like Janet Jackson and Kylie Minogue who have also won this award.
Even though this group has had personal struggles, from breaking up in 2005, but then reuniting in 2011, I think it’s right to say that this is one the groups that contributed to the popularity of Dance Music in the U.S. (and of course with some help from Mitsubishi).
