Wet Electric Preivew

Just in case you were wondering, Wet Electric is going to be happening this weekend as planned. In case you had not heard the news, the city of Huntington Beach attempted to sue the promoters of the beach rave Wet Electric in an attempt to shut it down. This a result of the recent tragic deaths at Electric Zoo festival and also because of the riots in downtown Huntington Beach after the final day of the US Open of Surfing. The judge ruled that the show must go on, so tomorrow we hit the beaches and Arntre will be there all day raging.

What makes tomorrow so special? Well for me, I usually go to events because of the line ups. No I dont like to see big name DJs that often but I do however like to see up and comers that are almost at the top about to blow up or in the small stages of blowing up.  That is exactly why I think this line up is actually pretty good. Big artists to look forward to are Paul Oakenfold, Eric Morillo, Audrey Napoleon and Nadia Ali. If you need some heavy electro I would catch MAKJ. Some other names to look forward to that you may not know are Minaya & Vikus, two crazy DJs from the OC who definitely know how to rip a crowd to shreds.  they were named “Best Club DJ’s of 2012″ in OC Weekly’s Best of 2012 Awards.

What I think im looking forward to the most however is the atmosphere. I mean c’mon, its a rave…on the beach. It doesnt get much better than that here in Southern California. Good music, beautiful people, and positive vibes. I must urge all of you who attend to not act stupid. The city already tried to stop this event, so lets not give them any reason not to let us do it again next year. Please party responsibly. See you at the beach!
