Florida-to-LA producer Kodak To Graph has announced his debut album ISA, out March 10th for free download. From the swamps of Gainesville to the border of Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, Kodak (AKA Michael Maleki) has drawn inspiration from the sounds and characters that he came across during the 2,400 mile journey. The first single, appropriately-titled “Los Angeles“, was started in the back of a cramped Ford E-350 van on tour with Slow Magic and finished in his management’s office in LA. In his own words, “[Los Angeles] represents the still and quiet of Florida colliding with the static and noise of DTLA… Its like a theme song for all bizarro, beautiful and wacky characters / scenery you encounter.“
In addition, Kodak To Graph has announced his first-ever headlining “Break The Ice” tour, spanning 29 dates throughout March, Apriland May with support from Big Wild and OBESØN. Tickets are available now at Kodak’s website.
“‘Los Angeles’ is a texture-heavy tune that incorporates found sounds and vocal samples in a way that is subtly reminiscent of the Avalanches, with enough low-end to satiate any club crowd.” – THE FADER
