Tchami Live at the NOVO Photos + Recap

Tchami’s Prophecy Tour was banging! This was my first time at the Novo Theater, very nice and roomy venue. Walking into the venue hearing the bass traveling through the walls, I knew i was bound for a groovy night. Prior to the event, Jace Mek announced he will be playing on the west coast prophecy tour dates. Unfortunately when I got to the event, Jace Mek only had about 10 minutes of time left. For those 10 minutes, Jace Mek killed it, mans is sure to be an all star in the years to come. Next up was Mercer, dropping fat basslines and getting the crowd moving. Finally got to hear him drop his track “Opium” live. After Mercer’s set I made my way to the front of the crowd. Then came Tchami, with stunning visuals and groovy tracks. The stage production was visually stunning, sticking true to his priest image. Tchami had a cathedral like setting on stage. LED boards representing stained glass such as the ones seen in many churches. Following up with the cathedral theme, Tchami had a choir alongside him to perform a take on “Gangster’s Paradise.” Nonetheless Tchami dropped many of his hit tracks and my personal favorite, “Move Your Body.” The overall event was an amazing experience, the venue, the stage production, and most importantly the artists. Such a great experience that those few hours weren’t enough for me. There was an afterparty! Taking it back to old school underground vibes, the after party was hosted at a warehouse just a few miles from the venue. Tchami and Mercer played til 5 in the morning at the afterparty. I’m glad I was able to be apart of the Prophecy Tour and I hope in the near future that Tchami does a Confession Record Label tour, because how sick would that be? A night filled with hearty house music is always a great time.
