AC Slater’s, Night Bass in full effect! With Night Bass celebrating their 3 year anniversary just a few weeks ago at ExchangeLA, it is as if they are not slowing down one bit. Night Bass will be moving the dance floor this Thursday, February 24th, 2017, at Sound Nightclub. Chris Lorenzo will be headlining, followed by Sinden, Star Eyes, and Petey Clicks. With a lineup full of heavy hitters, you’re bound to find yourself getting jiggy all night. At least that is what I found myself doing two weeks ago at Night Bass’s 3 year Anniversary party. I have never seen ExchangeLA so packed, I was basically hugging the bartender due to no room on the dance floor. Eventually found myself in the midst of the crowd, nonetheless it was perfect timing. Right as I got onto the floor, special guest Chris Lake performed his hit “Operator” and had DANCES WITH WHITE GIRLS alongside to do vocals. “Night Bass we have a problem!”. The vibes were on point all night. If you missed Night Bass’s 3 year anniversary, get your ass to Sound Nightclub this Thursday! -Isaac Bo

Enchufada signed producer Poté is making some serious waves right now, and ‘Oryx’, his latest free download, could be the track that sends him stratospheric. Throwing down an insouciant blend of tribal drums, grooving sub and funky, spliced hip-hop-style vocals, it’s a paragon of carnivalesque cool and a sure-shot floor-builder. Strong BBC Radio 1 support already from Phil Taggart, Toddla T, Monki and MistaJam who premiered Oryx and added it to his playlist.
Surprisingly infectious for such a minimal piece of work, this is the tune you half-remember from a glorious night out that keeps on flitting back into your consciousness for days afterwards. Also on the same release is AA-side ‘Stammer’, featuring Serocee, a dubby midtempo roller packed with spun-out atmospherics and killer fx.
Poté’s got a track signed up for the new Black Butter compilation and has also just been commissioned for an official remix of Lethal Bizzle’s latest single, so you just know that big things are coming this year.
