Tiësto’s Musical Freedom label to release “TRAP REMIX EP” on July 30

rephlektorlist_TrapEPCoverTrap is an exciting dance music sub genre that has become a personal favorite of Tiësto who’s been dropping the heavy bass in his sets throughout 2013. The world’s most popular DJ cements his support for Trap with the July 30 release of “Trap Remix EP “ – Musical Freedom Records first Trap Music release.

Rather than just release a bunch of trap tracks – and keeping with the Musical Freedom mission to promote fresh talent – Tiësto collected some of the best trap remixes he’s heard of various Musical Freedom release. The resulting “Trap Remix EP” is a four-track package that includes Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & GTA ft Wolfpack – “Turn It Up (Pelari Trap Remix);” Sandro Silva & Quintino – “Epic (Luminox Remix);” R3hab & ZROQ – “Skydrop (Ethyr Remix);” and Tiësto & DJ Punish – “Shocker (Basscamp Remix).”

Starting things off, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & GTA ft Wolfpack “Turn It Up” gets the full-on trap re-rub from Swedish newcomers Pelari who drop it deep with a sharp slice and dice. With his remix of Sandro Silva & Quintino “Epic,” Chicago’s Luminox opts to keep the signature synth line while reworking the bass and percussion for the low end of club. A feature track on Tiësto’s new mix album Club Life – Volume Three Stockholm, Tiësto & DJ Punish “Shocker” is completely owned Washington, DC-based Basscamp who completely restructures the song while adding in heavy drums and sound efx. Rounding out the EP, New Jersey’s Ethyr transforms R3hab & ZROQ “Skydrop” into something you could easily see accompanying an action scene in a Hollywood Blockbuster. Slick production cut along to flying fists and swift kicks.

DJ Fresh & Diplo – “Earthquake” (Stream)

artworks-000047598670-n0krmo-largeZane Lowe premiered DJ Fresh and Diplo’s tune “Earthquake” last Thursday, May 9, featuring the vocal stylings of Dominique Young Unique, as the ‘Hottest Record in the World’. This is the first single from Dj Fresh upcoming album set to release next year on Ministry of Sound recordings. The single is already featured on “Kick Ass 2”  which is suppose to be the biggest movie of the summer, and with DJ Fresh and Diplo on it, we bet the soundtrack will bang just as hard. Stream “Earthquake” below.

Bondax – Annie Mac Minimix(Extended 7 Min Mix)

I’m a huge fan of Bondax and the Bass music genre that’s getting bigger recently, there’s been a lot of misconception of Post Dubstep, UK Garage, and Bass Music. To be honest this genre is always evolving but the basic premise of Bass music is experimenting with sounds from R&B and Hip Hop. Most commonly they slow down or speed up a popular track and add their own sounds with a lot of sub bass and kick to make up for the uplifting melody. Bondax is one of the greatest producers that don’t define themselves as Bass music and they are exceptional in this 7 min mix for Annie Mac’s BBC Radio One Mix.
