2 years ago, it seemed as though David Hearbreak was going to be the next big artist in dance music having dropped an EP on OWSLA after playing shows for a couple years. Then tragedy struck, with the loss of a father-figure, his Grandmother and Niece all within a 3 month span. Understandably so, David Heartbreak had to walk away from music to deal with his loss.
After taking time to heal in Berlin, Heartbreak began to get back into the studio learning from some of the best producers out there and really mastering Ableton Live. Thus after a little hiatus, Heartbreak released his latest EP properly titled “No More Heartbreak.”
“No More Heartbreak” takes you on a musical journey through the unique style that is David Heartbreak. This 5 track EP showcases a variety of sounds and mixing techniques that make this EP truly one of its kind. The EP represents David Heartbreak’s loss, growth and rediscovery of his artistry and passion.
If you keep score with genres, you could classify this EP as trap, future bass & r&b. Most importantly though, it is just good music. You can click the links the below to connect with David.

Bass mastermind David Heartbreak has announced his Rose Colored Bass EP, set for release on November 18th viaOWSLA. The 8-track EP includes future bass anthem “Armaggedon” feat. ChooKy, acid house / dub blend “Dub Da World“, and euphoric title track “Rose Colored Bass” feat. vocals from Maluca. The lead single “Tonight” featuring uplifting vocals from Grammy-nominated singer / songwriter Skylar Grey was first played during Game 5 of the NBA Playoff Finals and is a display of Heartbreak’s signature hip-hop, dub and electronica hybrid.
“This album tells a story of massive destruction and subsequent rebuilding. It’s a representation of my feelings during the last twelve months that I’ve been making music, they’ve been some of the best and worst days of my life. This year changed the way I approach and view existence as a whole – it’s been bittersweet. I’ve had to find beauty within the darkness.“
Heartbreak’s intro to OWSLA was his official remix of Skrillex‘s “Make It Bun Dem“, leading to his debut EP The Foundationand his 2-track release “War Of The Roses” / “Rebel (Latchkey Anthem)” featuring dancehall artist Leftside. His sound has been influenced by everything from hip-hop to soul to traditionally urban electronic genres such as Baltimore club, acid house and Detroit techno.
