OWSLA’s secret weapon French duo Alesia are known for blending genres while simultaneously avoiding them. From co-producing the breakout hit “Bird Machine” with DJ Snake to remixing Dogblood (Skrillex & Boys Noize) and a bootleg of M.I.A.’s “Pull Up The People” nearing 2 million plays, Alesia are two of the most forward-thinking producers in dance music. The New Order Pt. 1 EP is out now on OWSLA, listen below.
In Alesia’s own words, “Intense et noir.”
In 2012 Martin Solveig and Laidback Luke met up in Sydney, Australia to start on a collaboration during the famous Stereosonic music festival and then met up once again during the Ultra Music Festival to work on the project that was left incomplete (Supposedly done during Ultra but felt that the Ultra crowd was not the right place for its debut). Then finally when the Tomorrowland Festival came about, and when Martin and Luke saw the reaction of the crowd when they both opened with the track, they finally felt that it was the right time to introduce it to the masses. The festival tune titled “Blow” consists of a French Electro sound mashed with Dutchy synths and drum patterns. While there is no word on its release (on Mixmash Records), you can be sure that you will be hearing it at your next edm festival. Here’s a preview!
An innovator in the dance music scene, Fedde Le Grand has helped shape the electronic dance movement with hits like “Metrum” and classics like “Put Your Hands Up For Detroit.” Having great success with remixes and collaborations, today we bring you a new release and collaboration with French man Michael Calfan titled “Lion (Feel The Love).” An electro track made for the club is a hard hitting dance tune that still maintains a melodic feel (something influenced by Calfan). For now we only have an instrumental with a vocal version coming out soon. Definite banger for any DJ sets. This tune is now released on Fedde’s Flamingo Recordings label and available for purchase on Beatport.
