Last Friday, Westend released the first track of his 4 track EP coming out on Insomniac Records. Westend joined the Insomniac Records family for the first time after releasing multiple releases on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION imprint.
Tyler Morris, otherwise known as Westend, is a New York-based house producer that truly knows his way around a fresh groove. Westend’s work with Insomniac, which originally materialized via his sleek three-track EP, ‘Clubble.’ Now, he’s ready to make his presence felt on Insomniac’s flagship label with his latest creation.
Built around a deep and propulsive rhythm, “Prickly Pear” germinates seamlessly on the strength of throbbing synth swells, quirky flourishes, oscillating pads, and a beckoning vocal loops. It’s the type of phenomenal house cut that’ll make you feel all warm and fuzzy.
The end of the decade has just been filled with amazing releases from artists. Everyone is out there wanting to close out this decade with a banger. It has been a pure arms race for producers and DJs and music lovers can all reap the benefits from it.
Out now on Insomniac Records, Volac releases a 2 track EP that is absolutely fresh. The first track, ‘Feel the Beat’ features Canadian artists Neon Steve & Rumpus. These are 3 of my favorite producers and they combine to make one special heater. They went out and got Rhiannon Roze to add a nice touch on the vocals. The second track, ‘Super Cute,’ is with Stace Cadet and is also packing some heat.
You’re definitely going to want to add these tracks to your Spotify playlist, or if you’re a DJ, you’ll want this for your Rekordbox collection. Volac went all out with this one, & Insomniac for the most part knows how to pick em.
Canadian based house & UK bass artist Neon Steve dropped a filthy new house track on In Rotation records. The track “NRG” is house track with an amazingly crafted bass line that you just cant help but move to. Combined that with a classic house organ sound, it is the perfect blend of old and new school. The track NRG features Sweetie Irie on the vocals who does a fantastic job adding to the energy of the track.
If this song is not in your Rekordbox collection, then I suggest you go out and get this one. If this is your first time hearing Neon Steve, don’t sleep on this artist. He has some other pretty fire tracks out as well.
