After an incredible year of music for Mixmash Records we can now looking forward into 2015. Label master Laidback Luke kicks off the year in style with a huge collaboration alongside Tujamo. S.A.X. is out now.
S.A.X. smashes straight into the new year with style. With its infectious rhythm and anthemic build up, the melody explodes into a cataclysm of heavy bass and drums. With the track perfectly combining the signature styles of both Luke and Tujamo, S.A.X. has the potential to become a massive hit.
Renowned for being a pioneer of Dutch house music, Laidback Luke has undoubtedly earned his place amongst dance music royalty. With standout releases such as ‘Go’ featuring Uberjak’d released on Hysteria, as well as ‘Blow’ featuring Martin Solveig, ’Stepping To The Beat’ and ‘Flashing Lights’ and more, all released on his eclectic label Mixmash Records, Laidback Luke has cemented himself as one of the biggest artists on the planet.
German-born producer Tujamo is no stranger to Mixmash Records, having released the bouncy ‘Hey Mister’ earlier on this year. His music delivers a one of a kind, unique sound and he’s created standout remixes for the likes of Skrillex and Diplo’s Jack U project. Tujamo’s own productions have also gained success including ‘Dr Who!’ and the massive collaboration with Steve Aoki, Chris Lake and Kid Ink on the Beatport #1 ‘Delirious (Boneless)’.
Always known as a pioneer of dance music Laidback Luke returns to his label Mixmash after a huge summer of events. ’Stepping To The Beat’ is available on Beatport and is now followed by a brand new video.
The video takes us back in time to a retro 80’s infomercial with a selection of over enthused television presenters and pretty girls showcasing the finest in fitness video’s, and some of their own pretty slick dance moves!
‘Stepping To The Beat’ is another shake up for the Dutch House Master. Deep thudding bass and drums are combined with gentle synths create to create a super addictive hook. Layered with a slick vocal this track will undoubtedly get stuck in your head for days.
Laidback Luke has undoubtedly earned his place amongst dance music royalty. With his hybrid house styles and his unlimited energy, Luke’s recent productions have spanned a whole host of genres, culminating in stunning live sets and ongoing anticipated studio hits.
Spending the summer touring the world Luke made stop offs at Tomorrowland in Belgium, EDC in Las Vegas as well as Creamfields in the UK – cementing his position as one of the forerunners of the dance music scene.
In 2012 Martin Solveig and Laidback Luke met up in Sydney, Australia to start on a collaboration during the famous Stereosonic music festival and then met up once again during the Ultra Music Festival to work on the project that was left incomplete (Supposedly done during Ultra but felt that the Ultra crowd was not the right place for its debut). Then finally when the Tomorrowland Festival came about, and when Martin and Luke saw the reaction of the crowd when they both opened with the track, they finally felt that it was the right time to introduce it to the masses. The festival tune titled “Blow” consists of a French Electro sound mashed with Dutchy synths and drum patterns. While there is no word on its release (on Mixmash Records), you can be sure that you will be hearing it at your next edm festival. Here’s a preview!
