After dominating every dancefloor and festival for the past few years with their hit “BaDinga” and remixes of Kanye West, Jason Derulo, Major Lazer and plenty of others, TWRK have finally graced the world with their debut EP. Titled simply We Are TWRK, the four track project breaks new ground for the duo of Benzi and Esentrik by infusing dancehall (“Helicopter”) and more melodic sounds (“Dump It”) with their much-established mid-tempo bounce repertoire.
Out now via Mad Decent, We Are TWRK finds it’s home on the label that has supported TWRK from the very beginning. “Esentrik and Benzi created a monster with TWRK and we’re glad to be partners,” says Mad Decent’s fearless leader Diplo – who, following a string of mysterious releases, outed the duo’s true identity during the first mix of their residency for his BBC Radio 1 show.
Hear TWRK’s “Trifecta (We Came To Party)” (a collab with Sliink and Green Lantern) playing all summer long in Budweiser’s “Bud and Burgers” television campaign, and catch the guys in person on the We Are TWRK EP release tour in the US, Canada, and Europe.
The Jersey Club King DJ Sliink kicked off the Trifecta Tour at Webster Hall in NYC this past Friday. He joined forces with TWRK and DJ Green Lantern in their new release “If You Don’t” which launched exclusively for the tour. I enjoyed this track from start to finish, like literally. The opening vocals are cut up and blended with a catchy club-like sounding horn, and I can’t resist the sped up club tempos that transition out of the trappy drops. Big cred to Sliink, Green Lantern, and TWRK. For all the LA fans, DJ Sliink will be featured in this years Nocturnal Wonderland line up (Insonmniac).

New DJ R3ll
DJ R3ll is an aspiring, innovative Jersey Club producer-dj that contributes heavily to today’s club sound. R3ll came in hard with his club remix of Aaliyah’s original “One in a Million”. Aside from catchy melody, the transitions per drop are cut up, sprinkled with samples, and topped off with bed squeak sounds. Listen for yourself.
TWRK aren’t playing games, this anonymous dj duo popped into the game with some amazing 100bpm tracks that are so bouncy and cleanly produced. Its clear, these guys aren’t new to this and definitely know their way around a studio. They are set to release their identity in August and will be following up with ArntreLA shortly after they do. Stay posted here for a future interview, until then enjoy their most recent mix, with a fabulous selection of tracks from the likes of Major Lazer, Astronomar, Kid Kamillion, FKi, Luminox and DJ Snake. This mix will make your girl drop it low like Miley Cyrus.
