Trap n’ BASS – ed.10

Trap n Bass-ed.10

Happppy Thursday y’all and welcome back to our 10th edition  of Trap n’ BASS!!!  Dee W. must have been on one this past week when he was grabbing this beats, sh*t gets aggressive mane.  Lots of trapstyle in this energy-progressive edition.  However, he’s (Dee) got some chill tunes to drop on y’all as well, gotta keep up that mix you know?!  Anywho, I’m done yammering and enjoy this weeks selects!  P.s. grab the free ones and support these amazing artists and the work they put in!  -Roane

Victory is a menacing track with mellow, ominous overtones that sound like something you would hear after a 300 like battle. What most sticks out to me about this tune is the horn work towards the tracks end, absolutely wonderful! Just listening to this tune will have you feeling victorious.
Elysian Records’ producer Moonbeat dropped some sickness on us this week with this Lullaby tune. Ambient/Chill trap with an upbeat tempo makes for a great recipe as the tune seems to be chaotic, melodic, and soothing all at the same time for a magnificent track. Not to mention the piano usage, which is the cherry on top of this trap sundae
Drbblz x Tovr
Take me higher rmx
Drbblz and Tovr put their spin on We Bang’s “Take me Higher” and it is simply sublime. The vocals are well complimented by some nifty 808 work, and the pre drop vocal isolation makes me lose my mind in awe. Chopping those vocals with a sick accompanying drum kit worked very well and makes for an overall great listen.
LA trap god $yrup strikes gold again with Arcto, adding it to his growing list of tracks in my “favorite” category. The creativity of this tune is off the charts as I find myself hearing sounds I’ve yet to witness on a trap record. Arcto is fast paced, progressive in sound and is a very necessary tool for you to #keepitturnt!

Trap Thursday: Tincup, Sevdaliza, $yrup, Sangnoir

Off of Tincup’s upcoming Anxiety EP, Whisper is trap-hop symphony that can only be described as relentless. Really digging the variation of drops, that get progressively sicker every time, and the fusion of hip hop sounds and vocals over a thrashing 808. The Anxiety EP is out on June 24, get ahold of it!

Sirens of the caspian

All the way from the Netherlands comes this track Caspian of the Sea, in which is so emotionally moving that it requires you give it a listen. The writing of the song coupled with the smooth vocals and inevitable head rocking drop make it perfect from a production standpoint. Calm trap at its finest, major shoutout to the first lady of Trap Thursdays, Sevdaliza.

I never thought I would live in a world where bass and chimes run so flawlessly together on a track, but in his latest efforts, $yrup amazes again with Push. The bells and chimes separate this song from a lot of others as it is a bold risk that definitely paid off this time. Different sounding yet still what fans expect from the LA based artist. Make sure to check out the Push EP, available now via Bandcamp.

Made You Look

As a hip hop purist and trap enthusiast, Made You Look by Sangnoir is the holy grail. Perfect Nas sample slowed down beautifully over a track that matches the melody of the words so well. This is what music of the future sounds like and it is awesome. This song has to be inspiring for professionals, and seen as a gift to music lovers. A+.

Trap Thursday: Hucci, $yrup, Rustep and CRNKN

The Trap God himself drops a brand new ominous track entitled Leaf, and although different from his normal sound, Ollie still manages to show that he is in his own lane when it comes to trap production. Leaf will take you on a journey that you will not regret going on, all should now down to the king of this trap shit.

Rustep x Crvck it!

It’s my party

Rustep and Crvck it team up to become Booty Clappers and remixed the classic It’s My Party track into an absolute banger. This track scores 10/10 for creativity and execution of some very sick use of snares and transitions. You and your grandmother could enjoy this tune as it is a great trap version of a classic oldies song. Vocal samples were on point, drops are amazing, excellent work out of these two, be sure to check out the entire Blackwork EP from these guys, all fire!

Banks bedroom walls remix

This jam here is sexy trap at its finest as CRNKN puts his spin on Banks’ Bedroom Walls track. Perfect mixing and screwed vocals is sure to put any listener in the zone. A very dance feel with some nice trap undertones makes for an excellent remix that I highly recommend for a late night drive up PCH with your girl as the female vocals are sure to set the mood just right! Enjoy responsibly kids!

Possibly some of the best bass work I’ve heard all year, our good friend $yrup came with the goods on his latest track Nightmare. This track should serve as a how to for any new artist to the trap genre as it is textbook perfection when it comes to the snare and bass combos. This song is a nightmare to the competition, don’t sleep in the homie $yrup, you might not wake up.
