Westend’s work with Insomniac, which originally materialized via his sleek three-track EP, ‘Clubble.’ Now, he’s ready to make his presence felt on Insomniac’s flagship label with his latest creation.
Built around a deep and propulsive rhythm, “Prickly Pear” germinates seamlessly on the strength of throbbing synth swells, quirky flourishes, oscillating pads, and a beckoning vocal loops. It’s the type of phenomenal house cut that’ll make you feel all warm and fuzzy.
Southern California based DJ & Producer Ocean Roulette has been putting out some tunes on some credible labels over the last few years. Three days ago he dropped an amazing release with Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION. After being featured on the ‘Rotate’ compilation series, Ocean Roulette follows up with his sophomore release on the label.
The three track EP entitled ‘Electric Games’ is a house music lovers perfect dream. The feature track “Electric Games” is a terrific blend of synths & live instrumentation sounds combined with a classic house vibe with a 2020 twist. “Mombie” hits hard with spectacular vocals and a groovy bassline. “Understanding” is just infectious with a bassline that will have you unable to not move around.
Overall a terrific EP with all 3 songs passing the vibe. Ocean Roulette continues to grow with each new release. Be on the look out.
